NFIRS 5.0 Module ‘Apparatus (or Resources)’

This module is optional and ‘department use’; meaning not used by FEMA NFIRS reports.

If selected for use (and see it is optional), departments should chose to use either the ‘Apparatus Module’ or the ‘Personnel Module’, but not both (since the ‘Personnel’ Module' contains all the information in the ‘Apparatus Module’ and more.)

Apparatus (or Resources) Transactions:

Apparatus - ‘Apparatus involved in the incident’- Mandatory, minimum 1 to 100000

Apparatus Blocks:

These blocks are collections of elements carried by the ‘Apparatus’ transaction.

A	Fire Department ID — Fire Department State — Incident (Alarm) Date — Incident Number (Identifier) — Exposure Number — Record Type/Transaction Code — Transaction Type (Add, Update, Delete)
N/A	Apparatus Sequence Number — Apparatus ID — Apparatus Type — Apparatus Dispatch Date/Time — Apparatus Arrival Date/Time — Apparatus Clear Date/Time — Number of People — Apparatus Use — Apparatus Actions Taken
