NFIRS is to shut down at the end of the month. With the transition to the new National Emergency Response Information System (NERIS), it is critical to complete and then secure your department’s incident history, especially for records retention and grant applications.
As the deadline nears, the NFIRS system will likely experience heavy traffic, which could lead to slower performance or difficulty accessing the service. File your incident reports as soon as possible to avoid any potential issues.
